I remember it well. I lived in Flatbush, and traffic made the streets look like parking lots. I'd already been sworn into the Marines, and scheduled to go to boot camp in February. I received a draft notice (immediate induction with ONE subway token attached). I called the Draft Board, and the lady told me to bring my DD44 in to Livingston Street. I told her to send the MP's for me. They never showed up.
