Brooklyn pizza in the '50s and '60s was different than the current Brooklyn pizza. It was before they let slices sit there for hours and have the tomato sauce and cheese congeal into one piece before reheating it. The Chinese food isn't the same as it was then when they would put roast pork slices and lots of greens in the won ton soup and bring out home made mustard and duck sauce to dip home made crunchy noodles in. Nathans fries used to be the best around. Now, they're just average. So, if I say I miss pizza, Chinese food, and kosher delis, and Nathans, I'm referring to th '50s and '60s, not current day.
