I have lived in and eaten pizza in places from Napoli to Del Mar (California) and from Moscow to Manila. First rules of Pizza and Bagels is anything called "New York Style" or "Brooklyn" pizza or bagels is absolutely guaranteed to never have been - is not now - nor ever will be anything like Brooklyn or NYC food. It takes time to identify and locate those usually small mom and pop places established by Brooklyn/Queens ex-pats. And all too often after the "mom and pop" retire and pass the place along to their non-NY native kids, the authenticity wanes. Fortunately we still have at least three reliable places here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. And no! They do not offer green chile or pineapple on their pizzas.
