Yes, I forgot about Lundy's. Eddie Shears and the Hamilton House were from the 40s-60s. Since I've lived in Staten Island for over 50 years and haven't been to Sheepshead Bay in ages, I wonder if Lundy's is still open. It was there for a long time even when I was a kid. Mill Basin, across from Burns Coal on the Mill Basin Inlet on southern-most Flatbush Avenue, was not yet developed but for a few peripheral streets near the Inlet. This, of course, was way before the collapse of the USSR and the influx of Russian migrants, so I'm not familiar with the ethnic businesses that have since been established there.
