Yes, you are correct Matty, as I realized after the posting that the Sun was part of the World Telegram. Incidentally, during the newspaper strike (which took place during a particularly bitter cold winter), I noticed subway riders reading a number of new temporary newspapers which appeared during the strike. I don't remember the names of those publications, but they helped fill in the void, for the public which wanted news. This all occurred prior to cable tv, and the Internet. Of course, the Brooklyn Eagle's circulation also increased during that period.
