Matty, I have a few memories of the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. I remember that it was always very cold outside, and the area where we watched the parade was always crowded. I saw Hopalong Cassidy, the famous cowboy, Wally Cox, who acted as Mr. Peepers, Jon Hall, who was Ramar of the Jungle on tv (walking with his rifle and safari outfit), and others. I also saw (not at the parade, but at Madison Square Garden), Clayton Moore, who was the Lone Ranger, and Jay Silverheels, who was Tonto, his companion. Jay Silverheels actually lived in Brooklyn, near Ocean Parkway.
