I'm also sorry to see that this Board has reached a point of diminishing returns. In the late 1990's, there were tons of new messages posted on this site every day, by many contributors. Now, there are barely 6-8 of us left, who still post on this site. It is almost like losing a friend, and is very sad. Incidentally, I spoke to a relative last week, who flew from the West Coast to JFK Airport. It used to be (before there was so much air traffic at JFK), that one would fly into JFK, without circling. Now, according to this relative, the flight made several loops over NJ, Manhattan, and finally over Brooklyn. He told me that he recognized several areas of Brooklyn from the air, including Flatbush Avenue, and the Kings Plaza Shopping Mall. Then, the flight turned near the Marine Parkway Bridge, and headed for a runway at JFK.
