I'm very aware and partake in zoom meetings and FB .... I spent the last 40 years in Brooklyn although I was raised in the Bronx so I belong to both groups on FB....but there is so much else....school mates and missing persons and reunions..........old photos........anyway, I find the boards more intimate and hate to see them go by the wayside.
I moved from Canarsie a bit over five years ago and would have stayed if my landlord hadn't sold the house I had an apt in. I had neighbors, friends and a feral community (they called me the cat lady)! Had them all neutered.......anyway the rents in Brooklyn were so high..........now I'm upstate in a tourist town but the rents and getting so heigh....they are calling it the Hamptoms of upstate New York (sadly). But I still check the boards almost every day.
