Lottie, I agree. I've been a participant and supporter for years. Our demographic is ageing and the presence of "smart" phones and other devices have changed the way people interact. To me, the pandemic's lasting effects are the isolation and distancing of people with platforms like "Zoom". You cannot get a "take" on people's eyes and expressions. But "Zoom" has now become a staple, and, it seems to me, to be a convenience. For example, tax returns have become so complicated that just filling out my CPA's "preparation" form consisted of 40 pages, and even though the pandemic is over, any questions or thoughts were to be relayed to him via "Zoom" after I spent two months filling this form out. I then had to hand it in at his office. My returns are rather complicated, and after two months of prep, I forgot to mention a few concerns. After 30 years, I have to find another CPA.
