Regarding your message about not receiving Novocaine at a dental clinic, I'd like to share a similar experience. I went to two private dentists in Brooklyn. Together, from the time that I was eight years old until the time that I was twenty one years old, I must have endured the drilling associated with about eight dental cavities. I never received any Novocaine, and didn't even know what it was. It was torture to feel the pain of that dental drill going into my teeth. It wasn't until I moved out of town, and had some dental fillings, that I experienced being given Novocaine. I always wondered why it was never used in Brooklyn?
