All my friends are gone from Flatbush and the city has gone downhill as a whole. I have livid in Scottsdale, Arizona for most of my adult life and have turned down more lucrative employment offers just to stay here. Things are clean, more modern, etc. I would love to go back and see how much the old neighborhood has changed but would not go back to live there. I think that is pretty typical of most of old Brooklynites.
