If that refrain means anything to you, consider reading book with that title by historian/author Doris Kearns Goodwin.
It focuses on growing up in Rockville Center in the 1950s..
Although not Brooklyn, much of life that she described was not that different from my life in Brooklyn...
And of course the phase applies to her and my beloved Brooklyn Dodgers. She was a superfan indeed...kept score of most of their games.
A very pleasant read evoking the best on f my memories...
