Rich, you stated it all quite well and with reverence. Not a year goes by without my remembering those days. I could hear the many sirens of emergency vehicles on that December 16th, also a Friday. I was in my classroom in the Flatbush building of Erasmus Hall High School. Never knew what happened until I got home and turned on the radio. Rest in peace Steven Baltz, as well as the other victims. From this tragedy, as well as the USS Constellation, it somehow allowed for the comforting of the surviving families and their going on to do good things in memory of their loved ones.
