I've probably posted on this before. My three sisters and I spent a lot of time at our Grandma's apartment which building was on the corner of Church Av and East 31st St. It was a huge apartment with two front rooms which she rented to, believe or not, Mr Rabbit and Mr Hare. I was maybe five or six at the time. After Mr Hare left, we stayed in his room, and we could hear the clang-clang and whistle of the trolleys as they ambled below. Mannings Department Store was on the first floor of her building, and a jewelry store with a diamond neon sign was across the street.
