Steve I played CYO baseball in the Sr Div (ages 15-17} for OLR(Our Lady of Refuge Ocean and Foster Aves-home field was Erasmus Field on Sunday afternoons where the Parky was Austin Dugan the Erasmus baseball coach. You are right re E17 street being a wide block -perfect for all the street games! Also Bonnies coach big Don Brinster was an across the street neighbor of mine
on E.17. I knew about Harvey and tried to recruit him for e17 softball-he was a classmate of my brother Bobby at 217-but Harvey wanted to stay close to home -and we were nomads! The Bonnies/Cadets/Nathans and Gravesend Youth Center were the class teams in the PGL in my day. Steve I guess our Paths (BASE) never crossed (LOL)
