SNOW REMOVAL IN BROOKLYN

I was in Brooklyn the end of January and the beginning of February, this year. There was a large snowfall, which occurred, just prior to my arrival. I was really impressed how all of the main and side residential streets, in the area that I visited were plowed and cleared, by the Sanitation Department. Unfortunately, in the area where I live, the local municipality does not place a high priority on plowing the residential side streets, following a snowfall. Incidentally, in Brooklyn, when I drove in at night, I entered the wrong driveway, and got stuck in the ice, while trying to back out. Two very nice gentlemen pushed my car out of the driveway, and made sure that the traffic was clear, so that I could safely proceed. My sincere gratitude goes out to those individuals!
