Nate, I "discovered" Waldell Hobbies much to my delight in September, 1956. At that time, the store/hobby shop was located on the northside entrance to the passageway that led from the plaza area to Marlborough Road. At some point, I, too, brought in a car that needed rewiring/soldering. It was a Lionel 027 gauge observation car ("Hillside"). Waldell never seemed to smile; his words were few. I note the store was subsequently relocated across the Plaza and then to Cortelyou Road kinda sorta near Coney Island Avenue. Not sure of any other moves the store might have made as I left Brooklyn in 1962. And, yes, I still have the "Hillside." Reference ID: BK96826
