Steve I didnít know Marty Joyce owned the 1030 club. I left Brooklyn in 1955. I Remember he used to go there and also the Foster bar on CI Ave. He and Jimmy O,Leary used to be brawlers there.
All the names I mentioned were from early to mid 50ís, as I said I left in 55. I remember a candy store on Newkirk across from St Rose I think called Lennyís.
I spent many great hours at the 1030, Foster Bar, Parkville Bar, Black & White Stables, Vesuvius restaurant and Leader pool room. GREAT DAYS!!
