Tony, I was at PS 217 in the 60s. Mr. Caddy was the custodian of the school and a great guy. He would let us get the clinchers, Spaldeens, and Pensy pinkies off the short roof in right field on the big softball field. Harvey Klonko would routinely hit softballs off the Parkville Tavern across CI ave. on the smaller field on CI ave. if you hit a ball off of the Casa Del Rey it was a home run.
