I will never forget that day. I was a sophomore at Erasmus and started in the fourth period. I was in Ms. Wilson's English class; reading and discussing Giants in the Earth when suddenly we heard many fire trucks racing down Flatbush Avenue. Of course it wasn't till I got home when I found out what had happened. The next day, Saturday, I was in the barber shop getting a haircut when it was announced the boy had passed. A groan went up by everybody in the barber shop. A memory as a 14 year old kid I will never forget.
