As we approach the end of October, my thoughts go back to October 39, 1956 when Brooklyn lo9st its last trolleys. There were two lines that died that day and were replaced by smelly, polluting buses. One was the B35 Church Avenue line. I livrf on Schenectady Ave. between Church and Snyder. Many a time my mom took me on the trolley to the IRT on Nostrand Avenue to go to downtown Brooklyn to shop. Or the many times my cub scout pack 341 would get on the trolley, ask for a transfer. Get off at Rogers Avenue to take the B49 bus to Ebbets Field.

Of course little did we know that pos O'Malley was meeting with LA city officials to stick a dagger into us and steal the Dodgers away in the name of greed.
