I've also been to the Bronx no more than 4-5 times,including visits to Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Zoo, and trips to the Grand Concourse. When I went to the Bronx Zoo,there was a giraffe there, which the zookeeper told me had been there for over twenty years. It bent down near me, to see if I had any snacks for it. A few years ago, I drove on the Cross Bronx Expressway (coming from the GW Bridge) to Long Island. There were many residential areas of the Bronx, which were torn up, when the Cross Bronx Expressway was built. Incidentally, the other day, I saw a video which a motorist took, showing the last few miles of the New York State Thruway, (going over the new Tappan Zee Bridge) and ending in the Bronx. I've never been on that section of the Thruway before, as I usually would get off by the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The tape shows that from the Bronx, there was a road which went over a bridge which connected with Manhattan and the FDR Drive.
