All I remember is pigeons on Regent Place near Woolworths, and squirrels in Prospect Park. I named every pigeon in the flock, and would always have bread for them. Back then we didn't know how bad bread is for birds. Fed peanuts to the squirrels in the park. Other than that, there were just "alley cats". Quite different in Northern New England, with moose, coyotes, turkeys, possum, skunks, deer, and huge birds of prey!
