Thanksgiving morning (11am) for me and my friends always started at Ebbets Field for the traditional game between my alma mater Brooklyn Prep and our traditional rival St. Johns Prep before 15-20,000 fans.After the Dodgers pulled out the Game switched to Brooklyn College.We did this from the 7th grade at PS217 for many years later on! We fortified ourselves in the cold Nov. winds at the ball park with franks and hot chocolates before going home to a massive Turkey Dinner with all the fixins. Also on the agenda were the traditional NFL games Packers vs Lions and at other times the Lions vs either the Pack or Bears on tv. And of course the day would not be complete with out viewing the Laurel and Hardy Classic -THE MARCH OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS later in the afternoon! Thanx Barb for helping to bring back some great long ago memories!!
