I regret that I never had the opportunity to ride a horse on the equestrian path of Ocean Parkway, which ran from Prospect Park to Coney Island, on the eastern side of the street. I used to see the riders on those horses galloping at a very good pace. It probably did not cost that much to rent a horse for several hours. I believe that there was a stable near Prospect Park, as well as one near Parkville Avenue in Kensington, where horses could be rented. I think that the bridal paths were paved over in the early 1960's. However, they must have been in existence for close to one hundred years. Did anybody on this board, ever ride a horse on Ocean Parkway?
