I remember those newspapers also. The Daily News, New York Post,The Mirror, The Herald Tribune, The Daily Telegram & Son. The one year that I lived in Long Island, I delivered Newsday. They also had the Long Island Press. That was September 1962-July 1963. The was the time that all the New York City newspapers were on strike. When the strike finally ended, the Sunday Times was 7 1/2 pounds.
