We had very few trick or treaters in Brooklyn; I remember one time that they chalked up our porch, as a prank. In Columbus, over the years, the vast majority of the trick or treaters have been respectful, and thanked us for the candy. One time, that wasn't the case, as they pounded on the door very loudly, instead of ringing the bell. There were tons of them; when I objected to their tactics, they retaliated, by throwing either a rock, or some other object at my window. I didn't realize that they cracked it. However, the landlord at that apartment, which we were renting at the time, noticed the crack, and charged us for it! In the last few years, there has been virtually zero trick or treaters on our block, as they go to a different area.
