I moved to West Boca Raton Florida in 1988 when I just turned 40. My kids were 14 and 7. Then and my daughter and family moved in with my grandchildren who were then 6 and 3 when they needed my help 8 years ago. The community that I live in has over 700 units and is NOT a senior community which I prefer. There are many families with children here, but as you have stated, very few trick or treat. This year I decided not to buy candy because I eat too much of what is left over. I have a container with quarters in it and I gave each trick or treater 50 cents. I only had 3 kids stop by. It looks like another tradition is ending!
