I lived on Webster Avenue between East 8th and Ocean Parkway. I went to PS 217 on Newkirk and Coney Island Avenue. It was just a few blocks walk. Graduated 6th grade in 1960. I posted some class pictures here some time ago. Actually, I went to PS 134 for the first week of kindergarten before we found out I was in the wrong school. I lived about equi-distant from both schools. 134 was on 18th Avenue between Ocean Parkway and East 5th St. A few years later it became the Midwood Annex and everyone from 134 got transferred to 217 and other nearby schools.
