Correction, I meant to state that the view from the top of the Freedom Tower, was better than the view from the top of the Empire State Building. For one thing, there was a much better view of downtown Brooklyn, and of course lower Manhattan, since the skyscraper is in much closer proximity to those areas. When my wife and I left the Freedom Tower (102nd floor), we were the only passengers on a non-stop elevator, to the ground level. I believe that the descent took no longer than 45 seconds. as it descended very rapidly. I was a little concerned that we were the only passengers, but we made it without any problems.
