Electric Trolley Buses in Brooklyn

I miss the old electric trolley buses, as they were much quieter than their counterparts, which were the trolleys which ran on tracks. I remember taking the Coney Island Avenue Trolley to Cortelyou Road, and getting a transfer to the Cortelyou Road trolley bus. It always amazed me how the electric trolley buses could travel on their own, without being dependent on tracks. However, the driver had to be careful to stay within the radius of the overhead pantographs. Otherwise, the pantograpsh would become separated from the trolleybus, and it would become inoperative. I believe that may have occurred one time. I don't remember what it looked like, but there must have been an adapter where the Coney Island Avenue, overhead, single electric line, crossed the parallel two lines of the Cortelyou Road trolley bus, at a right angle. In other words, such a device would have prevented those wires from becoming entangled. Unfortunately, there are only six cities in North America, which still operate electric trolley buses. One is in Vancouver, Canada. The rest are in Dayton (not too far from me), San Francisco, Seattle, Philadelphia, and Boston. Does anybody else have memories of the electric trolley buses in Brooklyn?
