The best way to avoid driving like a lunatic is to give yourself extra time to get where you are going. If you get there early, so what. I must say that depending on the speed limit, I sometimes drive up to 9 miles over the limit. I never tailgated and only used the horn rarely, however, I still curse to myself about some of the terrible drivers out there. Some of my earlier jobs in life required me to drive over 25,000 miles a year. Now that I am retired ( 71 years old today ). there is much less of a rush in my life.
