Dave, I agree with you about Florida drivers. Every year I go to Ft Lauderdale for about two weeks and rent a car. The drivers there are on a par with Staten Islanders where I now live. Long Islanders are a close second. The overbuilding here without the accompanying infrastructure, excessive traffic lights, and main arterial roads which used to be cow and Indian paths have led to waiting on 3-4 lights to make a turn where every family has 3-4 SUVs, HumVees, or crossovers (ergo, large cars). I live on one of those major arterial roads (its equivalent would be Utica or Flatbush Avenue) that has two-way traffic and parking at your peril (very little room) and with all the ambulances, fire engines, and police cars at your service.
