Nate, I know you didn't go into the lobby of the Hotel Oak to cool down.Do you remember the salesman walking Brighton Beach carrying two brown shopping bags selling Knishes and orange aid? In the fall he would be at the Parade Grounds hawking his wares. We used to spend our days at Brighton Beach and on Tuesdays, we would stay late to catch the fireworks. The apartment house at 777 Foster Ave. had an inground pool that backed up to Parkville Ave.we would climb the fence for a quip dip to cool off. Thank you for the memories.
