Pintchik's was the go-to place for selections in paint and wallpaper and, of course, customer service when that was an important component of a retail business - all gone, but not forgotten. I remember going there for a custom order for wallpaper even after I had moved to Staten Island.

I haven't been back to that particular section of Brooklyn in ages, but wasn't that the area near the Tollhouse, Junior's, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the Long Island Railroad yards?
