I cannot remember these, but I do recall seeing a number of Quonset huts on the westbound side of the Belt during the '50s/60s. Seems like a similar location. These were situated between the eastern outskirts of Brooklyn and past the old Mill Basin Bridge on the other end. I somehow got the idea that they were military-related.

Speaking of which, does anyone remember the military family housing/barracks not too far from Gerritsen Beach? My uncle Eddie, a WWII vet, and his young family lived there for several years in the mid-50s. They lived with us shortly before moving there.
