cont. from Karps thread above- 1 of your shots a double to dead center in Vanderveer against the Firehouse team helped us win 2nd place behind the perennial champs Maxwell Lumber- and the 2nd one - back to back blasts by you and my brother Bobby ("alphabet") that split the outfielders in Mark Twain causing their outfielders to chase forever (LOL) while you 2 guys circled the bases. 5 years after we packed it in- I put a younger team back in the Luna Park League (20 plus teams then -fields all over Brooklyn-and all times on Sunday twin bills- wives were not happy with us!) We had 5 Rizzo Bros on the E.17 Street Roster-Billy, Tommy, Steve, Jimmy, and Mike- all quality and all hardnose!Neighborhood was well represented on the diamond (and even in the touch leagues) by OLR (CYO Baseball), Flatbush Rockets (PGL Baseball), E.17street (Luna Park Softball), and Moriaritys (MO's) (Red Hook Arc League!) Regards to your family and hello to Willie D, Swifty , Tomahawk aka Billy Mac, and Foxy-thanx to you and the guys for great memories!!
