We would have a special family outing in the summer - we would take the ferry to Rockaway Point and Breezy Point, stopping for a beer then back for a meal at McGinnis of Sheepshead Bay. Mc Guiness also had a big restaurant in the city until the 70s. Also there was Ross, a roast beef place.

Randazzo and Roll n Rooster are still going strong. My son and grandson live in Brooklyn.

My Mom's mom passed away very young and Mom relied on her Aunt Kitty to help raise the 10 kids since my Mom was the oldest girl and her brothers weren't much help . Kitty and Uncle Grizzle were old time characters - he drove horse and wagons for Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus. When they passed away we were cleaning up and found a stack of letters Grizzle sent to Kitty from cities around the nation. They lived on Nostrand Ave and Clarendon across from Casa Corsale
