ah the sensitivity by some is very difficult to understand or accept, and so i dont. mainly because i resent when some attempt to project their sensitivities onto me.

the original poster merely stated he didnt know any divorced or gay people when he was young. also that same sex marriage was inconceivable in his day. he then stated we are evolving but hes not sure into what.

somehow his post was described as "a political homophobic post ", and suggested it be silenced. the posters account of his surroundings growing up in brooklyn, which happens to be the reason for this forum was somehow labeled political. and homophobic is defined as showing a hostility, hatred or a prejudice against homosexual people. his words showed none of that. can the member who labeled his comments homophobic please point out any hostility, hatred, or prejudice toward homosexual people ?

another member quickly followed by stating, based on the original posters words, "we are going back to the days if intolerance, hatred, and pulpit rule". can he also point out where in the original post he sees any of that ?

and are either of you as equally disturbed that he mentioned he didnt know any divorced people or it that somehow acceptable, but somehow gay people are off limits.

you both know very little about the poster, yet based on a couple of his general comments you assume you know him so well.
whats rather ironic, is you both ask for tolerance, as you should.
but yet you both failed to show any, as you shouldnt.
