Yes -near Grillo's of fond memory! How about the 5 and 10 a bit earlier on the same side where we would get our school supplies for 217?Other long ago and maybe forgotten places- Plaza Jewish Deli, Woltag the Optometrist, Manny Hanny, Mo's Bar and Grill, Semons Hardware,LaSalles, Hobby Shop, record Shop with the TV in the window where we would catch an inning or so of the Dodger Day games when coming off the Brighton trains after high school before rushing home to see the end of the game and watching a few minutes of American Bandstand before the guys would come to the block (E17 Newkirk and Foster) for an hour or so of stickball or 2 hand touch. And of course Ebingers and so many others including Mike Katz and Herbie Marshall's Accounting office. Great Daze in a Great neighborhood!!!
