Anyone recall Frank the grocer on Newkirk by Rogers Avenues

Frank the grocer was a blessing for the whole neighborhood. He had a small little store but a great big heart. I remember going on a school trip. He knew I had little money and sold me lunch but gave most of the money back to me in change - quietly - so nobody else would know. He did so many kind acts in secret. Years later when I was in law school my friends were explaining the word "mensch" and I immediately thought of Frank - (and Mack the parkie). Frank's family should be proud. Ed Hayes
