OK
Look --- white flight was a fact back in the early '60s. The neighborhoods were deteriorating back then. Many moved to Flatbush or Jersey. I don't recall anyone moving to Bed Stuy or East NY.
Why do you suppose that was?
A fact is a fact and should not be held to a "politically correct" criteria.Things were a shambles back then.
Brooklyn recovered, partly because Manhattan became too expensive.
I couldn't afford to live there anymore
When we left Prospect Pl the rent was $48/month back in "62. Now that same apartment goes for about $3000/month. I don't know how people do it -- even with two working !!!
