I have to agree with the Brooklyn Guy. I left Brookyn 64 years ago. It was safe but there were neighborhoods that we stayed away from. All the names have changed (I lived in what was called Flatbush), and I am sure many many people there have changed. I left Brooklyn to join the Air Force during the Korean War (conflict). I was fortunate enough a few years later to meet a fellow PS 193 graduate on a base in Texas. We had lots to talk about the old days. Maybe I will have to take a trip back to the old neighborhood while I can still drive just to see what it is like, drive the avenues, see the old hangouts if they are still there and just maybe relive those "good old days". As they say, "you can take the boy out of Brooklyn but you can't Brooklyn out of the man".
