Brooklyn Prep used to have end of the school year Hudson River DayLine Cruises To Bear Mountain on the old Alexander Hamilton sidewinder in the 50s. Boat passed a number of sites/sights along the trip on the Hudson-Sing Sing in Ossining, Indian Pt.,The Mothball Fleet,et al before letting us off at Bear Mt. and then continuing on to West Point and finally to Poughkeepsie. A great day of fun in the sun-the pool, canoes and pedal boats, softball and basketball, flirting with some of the young ladies from invited girl schools, the INN, and politicking with the Lay and Jesuit Faculty for better finals marks (LOL)! It was very active on the boat getting there and quiet and subdued on the return!
