According to the Board's Guidelines: "...messages not concerning Brooklyn of the past OR nostalgia at all..." are not allowed. "Or" is a conjunction which separates equal parts, those parts being "Brooklyn of the past" and "nostalgia".

Most of these shows were local in NYC (of which Brooklyn is part) in both production and broadcast, and all are nostalgic. Therefore, this topic is of possible interest to those who were Brooklyn kiddies.

Moreover, this topic seemed to generate a lot of interest. I think interest with participation is important to the vitality and continuance of the Board by broadening its scope. O'Malley bashing and neighborhood particulars, for example, are interesting but somewhat limiting to intrepid Dodger fans (which I am) and to former or current residents of the particular neighborhood.

I've been a contributing member of this Board for over ten years and have seen an ebbing of interest in recent times. Nostalgic posts with Brooklyn connections have a broader appeal.
