We would watch "Sky King", "Red Ryder" with a boy who was Robert Blake, "Circus Boy", and a kids variety show sponsored by Bonamo Turkish Taffy. Also "Winky Dink and You" was on. That show had to be the first interactive kids show with a drawing kit which had some kind of clear plastic sheeting that could be put on the tv screen and one could draw on it with crayons to complete various tasks and games on the show. It could've been fun but for the fact that we couldn't afford the cost of the kit, so it was very disappointing despite at attempts with make-shift alternatives like cellophane or waxed paper affixed to the tv set with adhesive tape. So we stopped watching that show. (We were told we were lucky just to have a tv set.)
