Oh, how I loved that show! Pat Meikle was the hostess. As poster Marie shares, you might check out Google (or Wikipedia) for more info.

Anyway, after drawing stick figures on her easel, Pat would make the characters come to life with the incantation of the words "magic a-roo, ba-roo," or something close to it. I know it was low tech, but in 1950 to a six year old it was amazing; I loved when the transition took place!

It was broadcast over Channel 5 (WABD) in the New York City area. Great channel; it also broadcast "Time For Beany," another show I was enthralled with.
