In the early '70s, I used to walk my dog in that empty lot there right over the footbridge. I recently had reason to look up that block on Albemarle again. Recently binge watched The Americans when FX+ had a free weekend. There was one scene that was supposed to be in a Washington, DC suburb but looked so familiar I had to put it on pause. The street sign said Memorial Highway but I Googled a street view of Albemarle Rd and Buckingham Rd. Sure enough, everything matched except for the street sign. They even showed the BMT Brighton line dead end on Albemarle. Soon, I began to notice more Brooklyn locations in that series.
