I went to my Erasmus 50th in October 2016. Had a lot of fun.
If you really want to go to a reunion, don't wait until someone else starts it because they may never do or they might not know how to contact you. Get the ball rolling on your own, which is what I did.
On Facebook, in the general Erasmus group, someone asked if there was going to be a 50th reunion for the class of 1966. I started a group for Erasmus 50th Reunion for Class of 1966 but said I can't organize it. Someone from the class of 1967 said she would organize it if she could include the class of 1967. I said "you're now an Admin." I actually helped a lot getting people to join and 1966 people and running the Facebook page and the In Memoriam page. I also posted the Reunion on The Brooklyn Board and a number of other places. The person who organized it had a lot of experience at it which I didn't have. It was a three-day affair. Friday night was a casual affair at Jimmy's BBQ in Harlem. The main event was at the Marriott in Downtown Brooklyn with events during the day such as a guided tour of the new Brooklyn including the (Loews') Kings or a Homecoming Erasmus Football Game at Sid Luckman Field (I chose the football game) with some '66 and '67 footballers being announced before the game. Sunday was a farewell dim sum breakfast in Chinatown. There were about 250 people at the main event. People came from Hawaii and Israel. The total cost was $300 or about $200/$100. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. I really felt good about it too because even though I didn't organize it, it all started from a Facebook page I started. So, if you want one bad enough, start it on your own.
