Nostalgia

Posted by Bob on Tuesday, November 7th 2017:

I lived in Brooklyn from 1957 to 1985. Flatbush, Brighton, and Canarsie. I too remember Brooklyn fondly, however, when I occasionally go back to pick up some Jewish type food on Avenue M the borough looks different to me. It doesn't have that homey, middle class, everybody is pretty much similar socio-economically. I'm not sure what I'm feeling for sure, but it feels like a Thomas Wolfe line, "you can never go home again."
